With the release of the iPhone 8 just around the corner, many iPhone 7 owners may be wondering if they should upgrade or currently take advantage of the features that iPhone 7 currently offers. Apple has sought to increase engagement with its current flagship product and even released a photography guide so that users can take advantage of all the features offered with the cameras that are part of the phone. The guide is designed to help users take better photographs and take advantage of all the camera features currently offered.

The big change in size

Slash Gear reported that there will be a big change in size between the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8. According to Benjamin Geskin, who leaked the news in iDrop News, the size of the latest edition will be somewhere between the iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus. What makes the latest edition different is that it will offer access to more of the screen, and the screen will extend all the way to the edge of the phone. The release of a phone with an edge-to-edge screen would position Apple to go head-to-head with Google's release of its Essential phone. Its display covers almost the entire front side of its device. Although rumors persist that Apple will release three new phones this year, chances are they will release an OLED and Pro editions as well as the standard edition of their flagship product.

Design pixels in iPhone 8, iPhone 7, and Samsung Galaxy S8

BGR reported that the release of the latest offering from Apple is the most highly anticipated release since the iPhone debuted in 2007. The latest offering will have many advanced features and new system enhancements. This includes an augmented reality and an improved battery life.

The form of the phone has essentially remained unchanged since 2014, and the latest release will see a complete screen design change with the edge-to-edge screen. Apple, with its latest patents, has found a way to embed its touch sensor into the display of the screen. Currently the size of the new release is expected to be slightly larger than the iPhone 7.

The dimensions for the new release are expected to be 143.59 x 70.94 x 7.7 mm while the release of the previous edition included dimensions of 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm. Based on a photo recently released by leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer of OnLeaks, the latest device from Apple is about the same size as the Pixel and P10 but larger than 7. The advantage of the iPhone 8 is that it will offer more screen real estate compared to other phones of the same size.
