Screen protector for the iPhone 8 on pre-order

A UK-based website MobileFun, which sells a huge range of smartphone accessories, has made a posting that puts their screen protector lineup for Apple’s iPhone 8 on pre-orders. Although the Cupertino-based tech titan hasn't confirmed any of the given information yet, tech enthusiasts believe that the posting revealed iPhone 8’s final design.

Nonetheless, the alleged screen protector of Apple’s upcoming iPhone is called Olixar, and the accessory is made up of a tempered glass. It is noteworthy how the screen protector’s design falls in place with leading speculations that suggest the much awaited iPhone might be available with an edge-to-edge design.

Meanwhile, much has been said about the iPhone 8’s 5.8-inch OLED screen display over the past few months, but the handset’s resolution is one thing which Apple fans hadn’t heard too much about. However, the only verified source of information regarding the smartphone’s resolution is an old claim from KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo.

The KGI Securities analyst claimed that the 5.8-inch screen of the upcoming device would come along with a 2800 x 1242 pixel resolution.

But, latest reports are claiming that the panel of the device is said to be divided into a 5.15-inch active display area as well as a Function Area at the bottom. Therefore, the upcoming device would boast a 2436 x 1125 pixel resolution.

iPhone 8 release date

In terms of the upcoming iPhone's release date, the tech giant would likely announce the smartphone in September 2017, which will mark the 10th year anniversary since the company rolled out its first iPhone.

Nevertheless, several reports are claiming that the handset might not be available to purchase until the fourth quarter of 2017, considering the upcoming mobile device may be available in limited quantity only. Also, the production of the iPhone 8 could be delayed due to its Touch ID sensor issues.

In spite of that, Apple’s upcoming iPhone will start at $1,000. The price tag is high considering the iPhone 7 Plus with 256GB of internal storage is currently available at $969.
