The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is still some ways off. However, this has not stopped rumors and speculations regarding the phablet’s design, specs, and features from circulating over the internet. Samsung has not confirmed or refuted any of the claims being made about the handset but, it is highly unlikely that all of them will turn out to be true when the smartphone does launch.

Smartphone enthusiasts are usually excited to know more about upcoming Samsung devices. A new leaked video has now surfaced online that shows the Front Panel of the upcoming Samsung device.

The video originates from China and its veracity remains circumspect at this point of time.

Video leak of the front panel

The video showcases an individual holding what seems to be the front panel of a next-gen Samsung phablet. Judging by the looks, the panel may belong to a rather large handset. Apart from the size, there is no other way to judge whether this could belong to the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 device.

Some people have pointed out that the purported front panel could very well be a screen guard for the Galaxy S8+ handset, which is similar in size to the upcoming phablet from Samsung. It may also be a fake plastic cut out designed to fool people into believing it as the yet to be launched smartphone.

So, without any concrete evidence, the leaked video must be seen with a grain of salt.

Rumored specs of the phone

Although nothing is officially known about the Galaxy Note 8, there have been some rumors and speculations regarding the handset's features. Some of the most likely specs include a 6.3-inch display which may support 4K resolutions.

The device is also expected to retain the Galaxy S8’s Infinite display with 18.5:9 aspect ratios.

Other reports indicated that the Samsung device will house a massive 6 GB of RAM and will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset, which is also present in the Samsung flagships for 2017. Some reports also indicate that Samsung may remove the physical fingerprint sensor and instead house one under the display.

The phone will also likely come with an iris scanner, wireless charging support, and an S Pen stylus. The Bixby assistant is also expected to be included in the phablet. Perhaps the company would also be able to improve the AI before implementing it in the device.

The Galaxy Note 8 will be the first Note device since the Galaxy Note 7 disaster from Samsung. So, the company would likely want to redeem their reputation and deliver a superior quality handset, which would perform as well as the Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy S8 are currently.
