According to earlier leaks, the Z2 Play may come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The mid-range Motorola smartphone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 626 SoC and may house 4GB of RAM. Quandt also claimed that the device may come with 64GB of internal storage, along with expandable storage option via a microSD card.

In terms of camera, the Z2 Play is hinted to come with a 12MP rear camera capable of shooting videos in 4K. The LED flash is said to be placed just below the sensors. Rumors state that the upcoming smartphone will have a 5MP selfie snapper with front flash in tow.
