The first flagship from the Chinese manufacturer dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi6 is a humble phone loaded with specs at an unbelievably low price. The latest flagship device will be launched on April 28 in China and will most definitely be available soon to other parts of the world including the US (hopefully) at $365.

Specs

One of the specs that Samsung is taking pride of in its most recent flagship device is its processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. However, that chip is not anymore exclusively powering the Galaxy S8 and other Samsung devices. In fact, that same chip is running under the hood of the latest flagship device from China, the Xiaomi Mi6.

The flagship device boasts a 2.4 GHz speed given it is running on Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 GPU. It also has 6GB of RAM, which is 2GB more than that of the Galaxy S8. In addition, it has 3,350 mAh battery pack, way above that of 3000 mAh of the S8. Furthermore, the latest device sports a 5.15-inch display with 1080 resolution and aspect ratio of 16:9. On top of that, it has a USB type C port and stereo speakers.

Design and features

The upcoming Chinese flagship device has a glass back and a stainless steel frame. There is also a variant that comes with an 18-karat gold camera rims and a ceramic body. In addition, it has a four-sided curved glass design making it look sleek. It comes in varying colors namely black, blue, and white.

It also has a fingerprint scanner located at the bottommost part in front of the device. The latest device also dropped the 3.5mm audio jack.

Camera specs

In terms of camera specs, it appears that the most recent flagship device from China out specs other devices from other competing tech giants in the same industry. With a 5.15-inch display, it is the only smartphone that offers a dual camera lens configuration at the back.

These lenses both have 12-megapixel sensors. Aside from the 12-megapixel sensors, it has a wide-angle lens and another 12-megapixel telephoto lens.

With a wide-angle lens, users will be able to snap more content without changing the user’s position. On the other hand, the telephoto lens will allow users to record video and capture images at long range without compromising the quality.

Moreover, the device comes with a 2X Lossless Zoom feature. This has the ability to process images with 10X Digital Zoom. The hardware of the device also comes with stabilization to prevent blurry images. The device also has a Portrait mode similar to that of Apple's iPhone 7 Plus feature. This is ideal for taking photos outdoors as it blurs the background and intensifies the central piece of the image.
