samsung galaxy s8 and S8+ are getting all the attention with their cutting-edge features and designs. Some users compare their magical experience in holding their first iPhone in 2007 with owning the latest smartphone from the South Korean company

Apple will soon unveil a new iPhone, but the two new Samsung smartphones will have five or six months to enjoy its popularity. Samsung's latest gadget is being compared as well to LG G6 but critics say that the latter’s design is not quite as excellent.

Why Samsung is back on track with its latest Galaxy S8 and S8+

Smartphone users apparently got what they expected from the South Korean phone maker – no home button, curved screens, new AI assistant and the fingerprint sensors found in the rear part. The S8 has a 5.8-inch infinity display that boasts of a Super AMOLED screen and almost touches the metal band running around the device. Meanwhile, S8+, as its name implies, has a larger display with 6.2 inches. These two Samsung smartphones have Quad HD+ resolution which is larger than normal screens. In the US, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will feature one of Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipsets.

The phones will also feature 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Similar to the S7’s cameras, the S8 series will have 12-megapixel, dual pixel rear cameras with a f/1.7 aperture. These will make photos look more vibrant with colors and with clarity. For users who are keen on taking selfies, they will be happy to note that the front-facing camera has greatly been improved. It has an 8-megapixel sensor with autofocus and is able to take wide-angled selfies. To add more fun and excitement, Samsung has also included filters and stickers to the photos. However, some critics describe the filters as hilarious and horrifying.

Can Apple’s iPhone 8 beat Samsung’s Galaxy S8 series?

The upcoming smartphone from Apple is rumored to be launched in September.

Avid fans of the iOS gadgets are hoping that the iPhone 8 will surpass Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8+. According to reports, the iPhone 8 will include a faster A11 processor, wireless charging and an OLED display that covers the front of the device. Rendered images of Apple’s new phone seem to point out that the TouchID will now also be placed on the rear part, just like Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8+. Apple is tight-lipped on the matter of the iPhone 8. Smartphone users need to wait for its unveiling and see for themselves which gadget suits them best.
