Reports reveal that Sony is currently making Playstation 5 and it is allegedly better than Microsoft's Project Scorpio which is set for release in late 2017. Apart from being compared to Xbox Project Scorpio, there are also many predictions and speculations about the PS5, especially about its features, price and release date.

According to reports, PlayStation 5 is predicted to be released at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June. But other analysts are saying that Sony will not counter Microsoft by releasing a new console. Since Microsoft's console will be released this year, PS5 will probably be out by the year 2018 or 2019.

Meanwhile, Xbox Project Scorpio is already confirmed to appear at the E3 2017 event. Gamers are expecting to see the final form of the console with a teaser of its game selections. Fans can expect that Microsoft will give a brief talk prior to a presentation from game developer Bethesda.

PS5 vs. Project Scorpio

Microsoft considers the Scorpio as their most powerful console which features six teraflops of processing power. It will also play 4K games and videos. If you think this is impressive, PS5 actually has a better feature with more than 10 teraflops of power.

The said information about PS5 is a prediction from Macquarie Research analyst Damian Thong who made accurate predictions about PlayStation 4 Slim and Pro.

Thong also added that Sony's powerful console will be out in the second half of 2018. There are also reports that the console is currently in the works and will not be ready soon.

Like the Xbox Scorpio, the PS5 is also rumored to play 4K games and videos. Reports also suggest that it will have two models with different specs, and it will support a virtual reality headset.

It is even said that the console will be shipped along with the VR headset.

Aside from the 4K support, PS5 will also use AMD Powered chips. It is expected to have a price tag of $500 which is the same price range for the Xbox Project Scorpio. One thing that gamers are anticipating is the list of games available for both consoles by the time they are released.

PS5 virtual reality experience

Users of PlayStation 4 can testify to the remarkable virtual reality experience of the device. Because of this, many are expecting that PS5 can also offer top of the line virtual reality support. It is noted that PS4 managed to surpass the VR quality of PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

New gaming titles are still being added to the PS4 from time to time. Will PlayStation 5 meet the expectations of the people? Will it be able to beat what Xbox Project Scorpio will offer to the gaming world?
