Meanwhile, critics are heaping acclaim upon "Horizon Zero Dawn." GameSpot called it one of the best games of the genre in recent memory. Giant Bomb called it "familiar but also really refreshing" in giving it a perfect score. Meanwhile, M3 sees the beauty in the world the developers have created. Overall, consumers of the game will purchase it knowing that it is an extremely hyped title by the game industry and critics.

About the game

Development for "Horizon Zero Dawn" began back in 2011. This was the first role-playing game Guerrilla Games tried to create. It took nearly six years to develop, displaying just how difficult it was to get this game right.

It utilizes a Decima engine, which was previously used for "Killzone Shadow Fall." The game is also unique by forgoing the use of a traditional tutorial during gameplay, forcing players to learn how the game functions through trial and error.

The plot tells the story of Aloy, a hunter in a world taken over by robots. She must use close combat, stealth, and her skills as an archer to take down the robots, who can provide valuable resources to Aloy. The game utilizes an open world concept; mini story arcs will be confined to certain segments of the world, while a player will have to traverse throughout the main world to beat "Horizon Zero Dawn."
