Wednesday night's ALDS game 5 features the new york yankees and Cleveland Indians in a "winner takes all" matchup. The two teams are currently knotted up at 2-2 after an exciting first four games. Both the Indians and Yankees are hoping to do what the Houston Astros just did and move on to the American League Championship Series. Here's a preview of tonight's Yankees vs. Indians Game 5 matchup including game odds, starting pitchers, start time, TV channel, and live streaming options.

Game 5 preview

These two MLB teams have won all of their home games so far.

The Cleveland Indians took Game 1 and Game 2 in Cleveland, while the Yankees won the last two games at their home field. There have been two shutout wins, with one by each team. There have also been games in which the total runs have been anywhere from 10 to 18 between the two squads.

The most recent outing was a Game 4 win for the New York Yankees, 7-3, to avoid elimination. That game two nights ago saw Aaron Judge go 1-for-5 but deliver two RBIs on that one monster double he hit into the outfield. By then, it was a 4-0 lead for the Yankees. The Indians couldn't manage to get more than three runs and a comeback attempt fell short. Thanks to a later home run from Gary Sanchez, New York left with a 7-3 win to force tonight's Game 5.

On the mound tonight for the Yankees will be CC Sabathia. The Indians will send out their starter, Cory Kluber, to try and wrap up the series. Sabathia pitched just over five innings in the loss at Cleveland back on October 6th. In that defeat, he gave up three hits and four runs while striking out five batters. Kluber has gone just 2.2 innings during the series, giving up seven hits along with six runs in that same game Sabathia pitched.

The end result was an extra-innings win for Cleveland, 9-8.

In terms of the odds-on favorite to win tonight, the Odds Shark website listed the Cleveland Indians as -196 favorites. The visiting New York Yankees are +168 underdogs while the over/under runs total is at 7.5 runs for the game. So far, the favorite has won every single game in this ALDS matchup.
