WWE's "Survivor Series 2017" is right around the corner and usually features traditional elimination matches mixed in with championship bouts and feuds. That will probably be the case again this coming pay-per-view, but there's also a huge match being rumored involving WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Here are the latest details on who Lesnar is expected to face at "Survivor Series 2017" and whether any special stipulations will be in place for the big match.

Brock's opponent

A report via Sportskeeda on Friday indicates that Brock Lesnar will take on none other than "The Modern Day Maharaja" himself Jinder Mahal.

As fans know, that means it should be a champion versus champion match with Lesnar representing WWE "Raw" and Mahal representing WWE "SmackDown Live."

Most likely the matchup will be for bragging rights, though, as it's being said that neither of the titles is expected to be on the line in this situation. That would mean that no matter who the winner is, both champions remain with their title belts. In an early prediction, it'd be hard to find too many WWE fans who believe Jinder Mahal will be the favorite heading into this match. If nothing else, he's seemingly booked for a trip to "Suplex City."

Match reason?

Both champions are coming off big wins at their brand's most recent pay-per-view events.

At WWE's "Hell in a Cell," Jinder Mahal defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to remain WWE Champion. Brock Lesnar has won his matches against Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe this past year, as well as a Fatal 4-Way involving those two and Roman Reigns. He's held the WWE Universal Championship ever since defeating Goldberg at "WrestleMania 34."

The big reason for this match will probably be touted as one where the two brands will be competing to show which brand is best.

However, many people are speculating this is a match to help make Jinder Mahal look better ahead of the upcoming WWE tour of India. During that event, it's being rumored that Mahal will be in matches against fellow "SmackDown Live" star Kevin Owens.

By putting Jinder in a match with Brock Lesnar, it showcases the champion from each brand but also helps build up Jinder even more.

The belief is he'll take part in the India tour looking like more of a "face" superstar than a "heel" which he currently plays on "SmackDown" in the United States.

WWE fans, how do you feel about a Brock Lesnar vs. Jinder Mahal match at "Survivor Series" PPV?
