The Toronto Raptors was able to defeat the Chicago Bulls with the score 117-100 on Thursday at the Air Canada Center in Toronto. The Raptors played a terrific game despite Kyle Lowry having a subpar offensive game. They went 39-of-83 from the field, 13-of-29 from beyond the arc, and 26-of-28 from the Free Throw Line. CJ Miles had an incredible game, as he contributed 22 points and five rebounds in just 20 minutes.

Robin Lopez scores 18 points

Despite the loss, Robin Lopez played an incredible offensive game against the Toronto Raptors. He contributed 18 points, eight rebounds, one steal, and two assists in 32 minutes.

He shot 46.7 percent from the field, zero percent from the three-point line, and 100 percent from the free throw line. Robin Lopez will have to be the leader of the team both on and off the court as the Bulls are undergoing a full rebuild mode this season.

Portis issues public apology

The Chicago Bulls were facing major issues internally the past week. Nikola Mirotic is out for about four to six weeks due to a facial fracture because of a punch by Bobby Portis during their practice game. Bobby Portis was reportedly suspended by the Bulls front office for eight games following the incident.

Bobby Portis then issued a public apology to Nikola Mirotic and the Bulls fans. He went on saying that he is sorry for his actions and that he never meant to hurt Nikola Mirotic.

Portis added that he is confident both he and Mirotic can repair their relationship, but Portis still has not heard from Mirotic. The Bulls start the season in an odd manner and the only upside for them this season would be getting a lottery pick in next years draft.

Jonas Valenciunas gets a double-double

Jonas Valenciunas had an incredible game against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.

He contributed 23 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. He shot 52.9 percent from the field, zero percent from beyond the arc, and 83.3 percent from the free throw line. Valencuinas continues to be a big factor in the offensive and defensive ends of the floor for the Toronto Raptors. They now have a 2-0 in the east after their game against the Bulls, and it seems like the Raptors are looking really good this season.

DeMar DeRozan struggles with shots

DeMar DeRozan had a subpar game for the Toronto Raptors. He only contributed 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals. He shot the ball very poorly, he went 2-of-9 from the field but 7-of-8 from the free throw line. Despite the DeRozan struggling with his shot the Raptors still found a way to get the W against the Chicago Bulls.
