Last Week, the defenses listed performed admirably. The Ravens had an unbelievable night against the Dolphins, the Kansas City Chiefs had a great night, and the Vikings took advantage of the Browns. With another six teams on bye, it's going to be tough to pick the right defenses. Let's take a look at the best ones to play in week 9.

1. Philadelphia Eagles D/ST

The Eagles have been one of the best Fantasy defenses all year, and that won't change against a Denver Broncos offense that has struggled to score in the last few weeks. Expect a solid fantasy outing for the Eagles.

2. New Orleans Saints D/ST

It's hard to believe that the Saints defense is playable, but after five straight wins and obvious improvement, it's time to take new orleans seriously. Jameis Winston seems to turn the ball over at least twice every game, so this feels like a safe play.

3. Houston Texans D/ST

The Colts did put up a fight against the Bengals last week, but the Texans defense should be able to clamp down on Brisset and produce a solid fantasy day.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars D/ST

The Bengals appear to have figured something out after firing their offensive coordinator, but the Jaguars have the highest scoring fantasy defense in the league and it only got better after they added Marcell Dareus.

5. Buffalo Bills D/ST

The Bills defense forces plenty of turnovers and has taken advantage of mistakes in almost every game this year. Expect the Bills to produce a solid fantasy day against Josh McCown.

6. LA Rams D/ST

The Giants do not have a good offense. The Rams have a decent defense. If you have the Rams defense, you should be playing them, even if they are on the road this week.

7. Oakland Raiders D/ST

The Miami Dolphins don't seem interested in trying this season after trading away running back Jay Ajayi. That makes the Raiders a sneaky good fantasy play in week 9.

8. Detroit Lions D/ST

Brett Hundley is not a good quarterback, and the Packers are going to struggle to score points against a tough Detroit defense.

9. San Francisco 49ers D/ST

Without Carson Palmer, the Cardinals are going to struggle to score. Even though the 49ers haven't been great as a fantasy defense this season, they should be a pretty good play against a Cardinals team that might not score a touchdown on Sunday.

10. Tennessee Titans D/ST

The Baltimore Ravens offense looked better last week in a win over the Dolphins, but the Titans defense has improved in recent weeks too. If you want a streaming option, the Titans are a decent choice.
