Seattle Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright has been fined by the NFL for a facemask penalty that he received against the New York Giants on Sunday (Oct. 22). A report by NBC Sports just relayed that fine, stating that it was $9,115 and that Wright found out about it on Friday (Oct. 27). The play in question took place during the first quarter when Wright tackled Giants running back Orleans Darkwa, but grabbed his facemask in the process.
In that same quarter, Giants linebacker Keenan Robinson hit Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson while the teams were battling it out in the red zone.
Robinson was flagged for roughing the passer, giving the Seahawks another first down. It was one of several penalties that helped the Seahawks on that drive. The NFL fined Robinson $18,231 for the hit, causing his game check to take quite a big hit.
