We're about to enter week 8 of the Nfl Season, and we are starting to find out which teams are elite and which ones are not. The Atlanta Falcons have dropped three straight games to AFC East foes, and don't look like the same Super Bowl contenders they were one year ago. But that doesn't mean we can't bet on them against a mistake prone New York Jets team this week. Let's take a look at which games players should be targeting this week.

Best Bet 1: Atlanta Falcons (-4) @ New York Jets

The Atlanta Falcons have been bad in recent weeks, but there's no way they lose to every opponent in the AFC East.

Josh McCown makes too many mistakes for the Jets to win this game and Atlanta will destroy an overmatched Jets team in this game.

Best Bet 2: Chicago Bears (+9) @ New Orleans

There isn't another team in the NFL more painful to play against than the Chicago Bears. Trubisky threw just 7 passes last week and completed only four of them as the Bears relied on their defensive touchdowns to earn a surprising win over the Carolina Panthers. The Bears probably don't have the firepower to get this win, but they should be able to cover the spread in this one.

Best Bet 3: Kansas City Chiefs (-7.5) vs. Denver Broncos

Denver's offense has looked anemic in the past two games, scoring a combined 10 points in that timeframe.

Meanwhile, Kansas City's offense still looks unstoppable and they are coming off two straight losses. The Chiefs are going to take out their frustration on the Broncos at Arrowhead this week.

Best Bet 4: Oakland Raiders (+2.5) @ Buffalo Bills

It pains me to write this as a Bills fan, but it's hard to see how Buffalo wins this game.

Derek Carr is surrounded by too many weapons and the Raiders will almost certainly outscore a Bills offense that has no real wide receivers. Expect the Raiders to come away with the road win in this one.

Best Bet 5: Seattle Seahawks (-5.5) vs. Houston Texans

Yes, the Texans offense has experienced a resurgence this season. Yes, DeShaun Watson almost led the Texans to a shocking win over the Patriots on the road.

But has this Texans team faced a team like the Seahawks yet? Rookie quarterbacks make lots of mistakes against elite defenses, and the situation will be no different in this one. Expect the Seahawks to take advantage of Watson's mistakes and earn a win in a blowout victory this weekend.

There are fewer games than usual this week thanks to the six teams on bye. If you listened to my advice, let's hope the picks are correct and that the predicted results happen.
