It is the second day of the 2017-2018 NBA regular season. After a tragic opening night, 22 NBA teams hit the hard court on October 18 and 20 of those 22 teams will have their first game of the season. Several notable NBA stars including Dwight Howard for the Charlotte Hornets, D'Angelo Russell for the Brooklyn Nets, and Jeff Teague and Jimmy Butler for the Minnesota Timberwolves played for their new team.

The much-awaited debut of Philadelphia's recent number one picks Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz was also witnessed.

Charlotte Hornets (0-1) vs. Detroit Pistons (1-0)

The Detroit Pistons defeated the Charlotte Hornets 102-90. Kemba Walker led the Charlotte Hornets with 24 points, six rebounds, and four assists while Tobias Harris of the Detroit Pistons had 27 points, ten rebounds, and three assists.

Brooklyn Nets (0-1) vs. Indiana Pacers (1-0)

D'Angelo Russell's debut for the Brooklyn Nets was the best start he could have hoped for, Russell recorded 30 points, three rebounds, and five assists. But despite Russell's effort, the Brooklyn Nets still lost 140-131 to the Indiana Pacers who were led by Myles Turner with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and two assists.

Miami Heat (0-1) vs. Orlando Magic (1-0)

The Orlando Magic won against the Miami Heat 116-109.

Heat's Hassan Whiteside tallied 26 points, 22 rebounds, and one assist and Orlando's Nikola Vucevic had 19 points, 13 rebounds, and one assist.

Philadelphia 76ers (0-1) vs. Washington Wizards (1-0)

The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Washington Wizards 120-115. Robert Covington led the 76ers with 29 points, seven rebounds, and one assist while John Wall had 28 points, five rebounds, and eight assists.

Milwaukee Bucks (1-0) vs. Boston Celtics (0-2)

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Boston Celtics 108-100 with Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo tallying 37 points, 13 rebounds, and three assists while Terry Rozier led the Celtics with 15 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

New Orleans Pelicans (0-1) vs. Memphis Grizzlies (1-0)

DeMarcus Cousins' 28 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists were not enough to the New Orleans Pelicans as they lose 103-91 to the Memphis Grizzlies who were led by Mike Conley with 27 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Atlanta Hawks (1-0) vs. Dallas Mavericks (0-1)

The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Dallas Mavericks 117-111. Dennis Schroder of the Hawks had 28 points, two rebounds, and seven assists while Nerlens Noel of the Mavericks recorded 16 points, 11 rebounds, and one steal.

Denver Nuggets (0-1) vs. Utah Jazz (1-0)

The Denver Nuggets lost to the Utah Jazz 106-96. Nuggets' Will Barton tallied 23 points, six rebounds, and two assists while Jazz's Rudy Gobert led Utah with 18 points, ten rebounds, and one assist.

Minnesota Timberwolves (0-1) vs. San Antonio Spurs (1-0)

The Timberwolves lose to the Spurs with a score of 107-99. Karl-Anthony Towns recorded 18 points, 13 rebounds, and one assist for Minnesota while LaMarcus Aldridge had 25 points, ten rebounds, and four assists.

Portland Trail Blazers (1-0) vs. Phoenix Suns (0-1)

The Phoenix Suns had the worst loss in NBA opening game history after they were destroyed by the Portland Trail Blazers 124-76. Blazers' Damian Lillard had 27 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Suns' Devin Booker tallied 12 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

Houston Rockets (2-0) vs. Sacramento Kings (0-1)

The Houston Rockets won against the Sacramento Kings 105-100. Clint Capela of the Rockets had 22 points, 17 rebounds, and 1 assist while Willie Cauley-Stein recorded 21 points, ten rebounds, and one assist for the Kings.
