The Portland Trail Blazers, Washington Wizards, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans, and Atlanta Hawks waived some of their players as they look to finalize their roster for the upcoming NBA season that will start on October 17.

Notable rotational players, including Archie Goodwin, Anthony Morrow, Gerald Green, Perry Jones, and Richard Jefferson are now without teams as the 2017-2018 NBA regular season comes closer and closer. Kay Felder, who was traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers together with Richard Jefferson, was also cut by the Atlanta Hawks.

Portland Trail Blazers waive Isaiah Briscoe, Archie Goodwin, and Anthony Morrow

Rookie guard Isaiah Briscoe out of the University of Kentucky appeared in six games during the NBA preseason, where he averaged 6.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. Archie Goodwin played for the New Orleans Pelicans and the Brooklyn Nets during the 2016-2017 NBA season, Goodwin averaged 7.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per in the past NBA season. Anthony Morrow played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Chicago Bulls during the past season, he averaged 5.5 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game.

All three players were signed by the Blazers in September of 2017.

Washington Wizards waive Donald Sloan

Donald Sloan has been out of the league since 2016. Sloan averaged 5.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game during his five-year NBA career. He was signed by the Wizards in August of 2017.

Gerald Green waived by the Milwaukee Bucks

Gerald Green was signed by the Milwaukee Bucks in September of 2017.

Green played 47 games with the Boston Celtics during the 2016-2017 NBA season, where he averaged 5.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game.

New Orleans Pelicans waive Cliff Alexander and Perry Jones

Cliff Alexander played eight games during the 2015-2016 NBA season with the Portland Trail Blazers, where he averaged 1.3 points and 0.8 rebounds.

After being drafted 28th overall out of Baylor University by the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2012 NBA draft, Perry Jones has been out of the league since 2015. He played for three years with the Thunder, where he averaged 3.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game.

Both Alexander and Jones were signed by the Pelicans in September of 2017.

Kay Felder and Richard Jefferson waived by the Atlanta Hawks

Both Kay Felder and Richard Jefferson played for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the past NBA season. Felder appeared in 42 games and averaged 4.0 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game while Jefferson averaged 5.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. Jefferson played in 79 games with the Cavaliers.
