Just one week after Neville quit, could another Wwe Superstar be leaving the company? According to rumors, Nia Jax may be on her way out. Jax has been featured prominently on Monday Night RAW and is considered one of the top female wrestlers on the red brand. But her absence from the show for the past two weeks has caused speculation about her future with WWE.

Nia's rise to fame in WWE

As the cousin of famous WWE Superstar The Rock, Jax was introduced to the world of wrestling at an early age. Yet, wrestling wasn’t Jax’s first career choice. She originally worked as a plus-size model for various brands such as Macy’s and Dillard’s.

However, it wasn’t until 2012 when she decided to switch careers. After seeing her cousin fight John Cena at Wrestlemania 28, the model was inspired to pursue a wrestling career. With The Rock’s support, Jax began wrestling training and in 2014, WWE signed her to a contract. During her first year with the company, she trained at their NXT performance center, honing her wrestling skills.

In the fall of 2015, she made her debut on NXT television. The six foot wrestler gained the audience attention with her strength as she squashed her opponents. Throughout her NXT career she’d face off against fellow competitors Bayley, Carmella, and Asuka. She also competed twice for the NXT Women’s championship, where she ultimately lost in her bid for the title.

Despite not winning the championship, Nia Jax proved her status as one of the top female athletes in NXT.

In July 2016, Jax was drafted to the main roster, where she debuted on RAW. She quickly put the rest of the women’s roster on notice with her powerful performances. Her first feud on RAW was with Alicia Fox, which resulted in Jax coming out as the winner.

Following her feud with Alicia Fox, Jax was moved into the main event scene. At Wrestlemania 33, she competed for the RAW Women’s Championship in an elimination match against Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley. Despite the loss at Wrestlemania, Nia Jax remained a permanent fixture in championship picture. In recent weeks, she aligned herself with current Women’s champion, Alexa Bliss.

Despite their partnership, the two would compete in a Fatal-Five way match at No Mercy for the championship.

Jax's future

So far the latest news revolving around Nia’s absence is that the star is taking time off to deal with personal issues. Yet, that hasn’t stopped the exit rumors. Stories are popping up that the star is upset with the way creative direction of her character.

The news of her rumored departure is shocking to WWE fans given that Nia Jax is one of the top female SuperStars. Aside from being a championship challenger on RAW, she’s also set to star on the upcoming season of Total Divas. With so much success, it’s a surprise that Nia Jax would want to quit. However, she wouldn’t be the first star to quit WWE due to their unhappiness and she won’t be the last.
