On Friday night, both the Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers wrapped up their NBA preseason slate. The two teams competed in an exhibition game at the Quicken Loans Arena with the home team looking about ready for the season ahead. Newcomer Dwyane Wade helped to lead the way for Cleveland's first preseason win as "King" LeBron James continues his rest ahead of the main season. Here's a look at the Magic vs. Cavs recap with top players, game stats, and what's coming up next on the schedule for these teams.

In tonight's game, the Cavaliers opened with a 31-30 first quarter lead, but the Magic came back.

Orlando outscored the visitors 27-23 in the second quarter to make it a 57-54 lead at halftime. Cleveland stormed back in the third quarter with a 36-23 score. Despite Orlando closing out the final quarter 26-23, it wasn't enough for the comeback, as Cleveland took a 113-106 victory.

Tonight's win was the first for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the preseason. Dwyane Wade led the way as he scored 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Point guard Jose Calderon came off the bench to score 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting while also dishing out five assists. Also contributing to tonight's team effort was newcomer Ante Zizic. The former Celtics big man scored 10 points off the bench. Shooting guard Iman Shumpert scored eight points to go with seven rebounds, while Channing Frye had six points and 10 boards.

Of note, a trade was announced prior to the game which will send Richard Jefferson and Kay Felder to the Atlanta Hawks. Neither player participated in tonight's Cavs' game.

On the other side of the court, the Orlando Magic received 21 points from emerging star Aaron Gordon, who also snatched seven rebounds. All four of Orlando's other starters also achieved double digits in points.

Jonathan Simmons had 12 points along with four assists and three rebounds. Nicola Vucevic, Elfrid Payton, and Evan Fournier each scored 11. Payton also recorded six assists. The team received eight points and nine rebounds from Bismack Biyombo off the bench.

For the game, the Cavs shot at a rate of 50 percent from the floor and 36 percent from three-point range.

The home team hit their shots at a rate of 47.7 percent overall and 33.3 percent from downtown. In terms of the rebounding battle, the Cleveland Cavs won that 47-41. Turnovers were a different story. Despite the Cavs having 22 and the Magic having only 16, it was the Cavs notching the win.

What's up next?

The Cleveland Cavaliers improved their preseason record to 1-4 overall and 1-0 on the road. The team will be featured in next Tuesday's NBA season opener as they host former Cavs guard Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics. Game time is set for 8 PM ET.

For the Orlando Magic, they end up with a preseason record of 3-3 overall and 2-1 at home. Their NBA regular season begins on Wednesday, October 18 as they host the Miami Heat starting at 7 PM ET.
