Training camps are set to begin in a couple of weeks, and NBA teams are finalizing their rosters. The regular season is roughly a month away from tip-off, and the Boston Celtics will meet the Cleveland Cavaliers on opening day.

Rozier thinks he will continue his career in Boston

Terry Rozier was one player that numerous NBA teams had interest in this offseason and during his two-year stay in Boston. Adam Kaufman of WBZ radio has reported that Terry Rozier said "Danny won't trade me" when asked if he was worried that he may be traded this offseason.

WIth the Boston Celtics shaping a new team for next season, Terry was a part of numerous trade rumors but it seems like Danny Ainge and the Boston Celtics are not going to trade him as of the moment.

Terry Rozier played for Louisville in his college days, he played two years in college before he declared for the draft. During college, he averaged 12 points, 0.1 blocks, 1.5 steals, 2.4 assists, and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 40.8 percent from the field, 33.1 percent from beyond the arc, and 77.2 percent from the charity stripe. He entered the NBA when he was selected with the 16th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics in the offseason of 2015. In his rookie season, he played a number of NBA regular season games (37) and a fair share of D-League assignments.

Rozier saw a huge increase in minutes last season

Terry Rozier in his rookie season played a couple of games but he spent most of his time for the Maine Red Claws in the NBA D-League. But last season he saw in incredible increase in his role and along with his playing time. In his rookie season, he averaged 1.8 points, 0.2 steals, 0.9 assists, and 1.6 rebounds while shooting 27.4 percent from the field, 22 percent from beyond the arc and 80 percent from the free throw line while playing eight minutes per game.

In his second season, he averaged 5.5 points, 0.1 blocks, 0.6 steals, 1.8 assists, and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 36.7 percent from the field, 31.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 77.3 percent from the charity stripe.

As we now enter a new NBA season the Boston Celtics have a significantly new roster with the addition of Gordon Hayward, Kyrie Irving, and Marcus Morris.

There have also been rumors that Boston is interested in acquiring the recovering Andrew Bogut this offseason. We can only wait and see if Terry Rozier gets another huge boost in his minutes and roles next season.
