LeBron James and Jr Smith have known eachother since high school, and while a lot of the time they were separated in different teams and weren’t in close contact, after Smith was traded to Cleveland in 2015, they have been very close. There has been some feuding between players on the Cavaliers’ roster over the past few seasons, but two people that were always on the same page were JR Smith and LeBron James.

They have had a strong friendship over the years, dating back to some training sessions they did together in high school. But now they spend their time together on the same team in the National Basketball Association.

They also spend a lot of time outside of the court together, getting involved in political rallies and on stage talks for the LeBron James Family Foundation.

LeBron has birthday message for Swish

JR Smith recently celebrated his 32nd birthday on the 9th of September, 2017. Ironically, now he is the same age as the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar small forward, LeBron James. Both 32-year old men have had reasonably successful careers in the league to say the least. JR Smith is a one time NBA champion, winning in 2016 with the Cavaliers. LeBron James is a three time NBA champion, winning his first two in Miami in 2012 and 2013 and winning once again in 2016 with the team that is very close to his heart, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

King James took to his Instagram account to wish his good friend and teammate a happy 32nd birthday. It is read:

"Man Happy Gday to my lil bro forever @teamswish!! Love you more than u can imagine as well as the family too! We been knowing each other going on 15 years now(since u were in HS) and the growth you’ve shown over time is a treat to watch.

I’m happy personally to have a lil part of it my guy! Let’s toast soon to your day! 1 love! #Swisher #Automatic #Worrrrrrkkkkk"

The 2017-18 season is almost here

Some huge trades and signings have occurred during the offseason, including big names such as Paul George, Isaiah Thomas, Kyrie Irving, Chris Paul, Gordon Hayward and more entering this season in a new team.

And the combination between all around superstar LeBron James and sharpshooter JR Smith will be soon viewed again by Cavalier fans around the world.

The 2017-18 NBA Season will officially start on opening night, October 17th 2017. NBA commissioner Adam Silver decided to start the season just a little earlier this year due to a lot of controversy around the whole resting situation with superstar players, which he believed contributed to a lot of back to back’s throughout the season. But by starting the season earlier, there will be a few less back to back’s and less and less likely star players. Most especially highly critiqued player LeBron James, will rest for games.
