After Kyrie Irving was traded to the Boston Celtics, the Cleveland Cavaliers received isaiah thomas in return. Beside Thomas, the reigning Eastern Conference champions received two more players and two draft picks as well. While losing Irving could be a big problem since he was the second-best player for the Cavaliers for the past three years, it seems that Isaiah Thomas will do just fine in Cleveland.

LeBron James, who was the primary reason why Irving left the team, likes Thomas and has expressed public support for him. It all started with James' comments about fans burning jerseys.

He took Thomas' side when a few Boston Celtics fans burned his jersey after he was traded to the Cavaliers. Even though Thomas didn't want to be traded, fans still considered him a traitor and they express their rage by burning his jersey.

Just recently, Isaiah Thomas sent a motivational message to LeBron, and it looks that the duo is ready to dominate the league.

Isaiah Thomas' message for LeBron James

LeBron James is currently in the Philippines, which is one of the countries he visits during his Asia Tour. Once again, James showed his amazing moves and skills in front of a huge crowd in Manila, and he also decided to dedicate an Instagram post to his fans there. "Manila u guys are unbelievable!!

Take flight with me #LeBronAsiaTour2017 #StriveForGreatness" was James' Instagram caption and the photo showed him performing a dunk in Manila.

The four-time MVP got a lot of attention with this post as it received over half a million likes in less than 24 hours.

A lot of NBA players engaged with the post, including Russell Westbrook, J.R. Smith and Isaiah Thomas. Thomas also posted a comment on James' photo, simply writing "Let's getit!!!!"

How good will Thomas be?

Isaiah Thomas was one of the best players in the league last season and he was the third-best scorer. Thomas had a breakout season and he showed everyone that he can play on a high level, despite his size.

However, he may not be as good in Cleveland as he was in Boston.

First of all, he will have to share the floor with LeBron James, who will most likely be a primary ball handler. Secondly, Thomas is currently injured and he might be sidelined until the All-Star break next year. It will take him a long time to get back in shape and once he does, he will have to build the chemistry with his teammates.

While it seems that LeBron and Isaiah are excited to play on the same team, we will see how good they can be together.
