As it was expected, Dwyane Wade reached a buyout agreement with the Chicago Bulls. After spending only one season with his hometown team, both Wade and the Bulls decided that the best thing they could do is to move forward separately. The buyout made the shooting guard a free agent, and it did not take long until he found a team to play for next season.

NBA regular season is less than a month away and Dwyane Wade will be playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was obvious that the Bulls and Wade were not a good combination. Fortunately, both sides realized it and Chicago let their shooting guard leave.

Now, Wade is on the Cavs where he will have much more success. Considering that the Bulls will be tanking next season, this was undoubtedly the best decision for both the Bulls and Dwyane Wade.

Wade was signed to a one-year deal worth $2.3 million.

Wade's brief stint with the Bulls

Miami Heat and Pat Riley did not express much interest in re-signing Dwyane Wade last summer. The shooting guard felt disrespected and decided to sign with the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls offered him a two-year deal with a player option on the second year. Despite opting into his contract earlier this summer, the guard decided to leave Chicago, playing only one season for his hometown team.

As a member of the Chicago Bulls, the shooting guard averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

It seems that lack of playoff success was what made Wade leave the team. The Bulls had a 2-0 lead over the first-seeded Boston Celtics in the playoffs, but they ended up losing the series. In the offseason, they traded Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and this was another reason why Wade wanted to leave.

Dwyane Wade and the Cavaliers

While he is no longer in his prime, Wade will still be a great addition to the Cavaliers. He averaged over 18 points per game last year and he can play very well, especially with LeBron James on the team.

The Cavaliers needed a good shooting guard and Dwyane Wade is just perfect for them. With LeBron, Wade, Isaiah Thomas and Kevin Love, Cleveland Can definitely compete with the Warriors and win another title.

Both Wade and LeBron have won three NBA championships so far and they might win another one next year.

After spending four years together in Miami and winning two NBA championships, Wade and James will be reunited in Cleveland. NBA fans will once again enjoy incredible highlights this duo makes every single game and it will be interesting to see how they matchup against the Warriors.
