Week 3 of the 2017 college football schedule will be back in full force this Saturday, and one game in particular will have a direct effect on the top 25 standings at week's end.

Clemson at Louisville is the game of the week

There are several key matchups in college football this weekend but none will be bigger than the game that will take place in Louisville, Kentucky when the Clemson Tigers and Louisville Cardinals clash on Saturday night. The number two ranked Tigers will once again have their hands full this weekend as they face their second straight top 25 opponent.

This time it may be a little tougher since they will be on the road and they will be facing arguably the best quarterback in college football today in Lamar Jackson. Jackson is showing the college football world that last year's Heisman Trophy win was no fluke. So far the Louisville Cardinals are once again off to a great start and the main reason why is Jackson's outstanding play.

Is Kelly Bryant ready to show he is the real deal?

Becoming the starting quarterback at Clemson in 2017 is not an easy task, especially when you're trying to follow a man named DeShaun Watson. Watson, who is now the starting quarterback for the Houston Texans, led Clemson to the 2017 national championship back in January.

Now that Watson has departed, his replacement Kelly Bryant is showing that he also has the skills to lead Clemson to the top.

Bryant has looked very impressive since taking over for Watson. The junior signal caller played well last week against one of the best defenses in the league last Saturday in the Auburn Tigers. Through his first two games as the Clemson starting quarterback, Kelly has completed 68% of his passes, piling up nearly 500 passing yards.

Kelly has also rushed for nearly 200 yards, adding to his dual threat ability.

Start time, current odds, and prediction

So who will win this game of college football giants? Clemson is the defending national champion and is currently ranked No. 3 in the country. The Cardinals are 2-0 on the season and currently hold the No. 14 spot in the land.

Las Vegas oddsmakers have Clemson listed at -3, with the over/under total set at 58.

This game should be one of the best matchups of the year if it lives up to the hype. Two dual threat QB's, the Tigers' tough defense trying to stop Lamar Jackson and the Louisville offense. Tonight's game may actually come down to which team has the ball last.

I don't like going against good teams, especially when they are at home. However, last week I had Oklahoma over Ohio State, and this week I am riding the Clemson defense to somehow do just enough to beat Jackson and the Cardinals.

Pick -- Clemson

Tonight's game can be seen nationally on ABC and streaming Live on Watch ESPN. Kick-off is scheduled for just after 8 p.m. ET.
