The NBA offseason is coming to an end as training camps are set to begin in a few weeks. The NBA has changed so much this offseason from All-Stars changing teams, new NBA in-game rules, and a new and revamped player friendly schedule for next season. Here are a few updates on the NBA free agency scene:

Bogut decides to play in Los Angeles

Andrew Bogut drew attention from lots of NBA teams this offseason despite his injury. One team that wanted Bogut was the Celtics, but sadly for Boston fans, they will not see Bogut suit up in a Celtics uniform next season.

Shams Charania of the Vertical has reported that Bogut has agreed to a 2.3 million dollar deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, which will give the team three reliable big men next year. Brook Lopez, Julius Randle, Larry Nance Jr., and Andrew Bogut will have to find a way to share minutes next season. WIth Lonzo Ball, on point, all of them could get their touches if they can co-exist together in the court.

Andrew Bogut made his pro debut in the NBA as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks in 2005. He had a decent rookie season, averaging 9.4 points and seven rebounds, and he finished third in NBA Rookie of the Year voting later that season. He played a total of seven seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks before being traded to the Golden State Warriors along with Stephen Jackson for Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh, and Kwame Brown.

He played three seasons for the Golden State Warriors and won his first NBA Championship in 2015. A year later, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks because the Warriors needed salary cap space so that they could sign Kevin Durant in the offseason. He was waived by the Dallas Mavericks in 2017 and was picked up by the Cleveland Cavaliers, but in his debut, he broke his left leg, causing him to miss the entire season.

Can the Lakers be a decent team next season?

The Los Angeles Lakers have made a big improvement in their lineup this offseason by acquiring Brook Lopez for D'Angelo Russell since they drafter Lonzo Ball. Julius Randle also worked very hard in the offseason by losing weight and being a little more lighter in his feet. With Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma showing great potential and talent in this year's NBA summer league, it begs to ask if the Los Angeles Lakers can actually be a decent NBA team this season. Now, with Andrew Bogut joining the ship the Los Angeles Lakers seems to be on the right track to once again be a winning team in the NBA.
