When the Chicago Sky pay a visit to the Dallas Wings on Sunday, they'll have a three-game winning-streak on the line. Meanwhile, Dallas is looking to end a two-game slide as they are clinging to a spot near the WNBA's top eight teams. The visiting Chicago Sky are surging lately, winning three games in a row ahead of today's away game. They've defeated the Minnesota Lynx by 24 points to begin the streak, then took down today's opponent, Dallas, 90-84 at home.
After that, the Sky won again, defeating the New York Liberty on the road.
Among the catalysts during the streak have been Courtney Vandersloot and Stefanie Dolson. Dolson scored 23 points and grabbed five rebounds in the team's win over the Liberty while Vandersloot had nine dimes and 13 points to help out. Unfortunately, the team will be without Cappie Pondexter in today's game due to the league's concussion protocol.
The Wings come into today's game at 9-11 overall in the standings and competing with several teams for a remaining playoff spot. There's still plenty of the season to go, but every win or loss will add up. In their last two games, Dallas lost on the road 90-84 in Chicago and 98-78 in Atlanta.
The team is 2-3 over their last five games and hoping for a boost in today's home game from one of their players such as leading scorer Skylar Diggins-Smith.
Odds makers have the home team as six-point favorites despite Chicago's recent run. The Wings are also -220 to -300 on the moneyline, while the underdog Sky is at +200 to +250 at various books.
The over/under points total is at 170.5 for the complete game.
