Carmelo wants to be with his family and stay with his only son. There could be a possibility for the 32-year-old star to will remain in New York even if the Knicks no longer want him.

On the other hand, he would get paid if the Knicks decide to buy him out. That said, he could find his way to the Cleveland Cavaliers and continue his game with them. Rumors of Carmelo Anthony's trade have been going on since January as Phil Jackson also looks to be eager to replace him.

If these rumors turn out to be true, soon Anthony might be on his way to another team.

Minnesota Timberwolves to trade Ricky Rubio

As far the wolves are interested, they have been trying to trade Ricky Rubio for a long, long time. Almost every summer Rubio's name appeared in all possible trade rumors. Looking back at the NBA Draft, Rubio's name also appeared a few hours just before the first pick.

In fact, many were thinking that the wolves would let go of Rubio instead of Kris Dunn and Zach Lavine.

Despite the fact that the Timberwolves acquired Jimmy Butler from the Chicago Bulls, Marc Stein of ESPN stated that Ricky Rubio is still onto business and he remains on the trading block.

According to CBS Sports, Rubio is an experienced point guard as he has managed to make great efforts for the wolves.

For four years he has performed well for the team but the wolves might have other plans if they want to replace Rubio.

While the Minnesota Timberwolves have their options opened for Rubio, the New York Knicks seems to continue with their plans for the NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony.
