LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers failed to defend their championship title as the Golden State Warriors ran over them in only five games. Most of the games in the series weren't even close as the Warriors' Super Team showed their absolute dominance and superiority over the Cavs. While the Warriors are undoubtedly the best team in the NBA by a large margin and their super team is unstoppable, LeBron James believes that he's never played on a super team.

Despite winning two championships and going to the NBA Finals four straight times during his tenure in Miami, James doesn't think the Heat were a super team.

He also doesn't think that the current Cavaliers are a super team, despite them having two other superstars beside LeBron.

LeBron doesn't believe he's on a super team

In 2010, LeBron James decided to take his talents to South Beach and join the Miami Heat. This was one of the biggest free agency moves in NBA history as LeBron joined forces with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, forming one of the best teams in the league. The Heat went on to dominate the league for four straight years, winning two championships and achieving many other great things.

For LeBron, his former Heat teams were not super teams. “No, not really. I don’t believe I’ve played for a super-team,” James said. “I don’t believe in that.

I don’t believe we’re a super-team here.”

Just like he doesn't consider his Miami teams super teams, he doesn't think that the Cavaliers are that special either. The reality is that LeBron has Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love on the same team, and he also has some great bench players, such as Kyle Korver. Even though the Warriors beat them rather easily, the Cavaliers are still a super team and LeBron James makes them one of the best teams in the entire league.

Golden State Warriors' super team

Even before they signed Kevin Durant, the Golden State Warriors were a super team. Just over a year ago, they finished the regular season with 73 wins, which is the best regular-season record in NBA history.

After adding Durant, the Warriors took their game to a whole new level and they only lost one game in the playoffs this year.

Despite the fact that they were a much better team in the Finals, LeBron James shouldn't think of his Cavaliers any less. They are still one of the best teams and there's a big chance we will see yet another finals rematch between these two amazing teams.

Could the Cleveland Cavaliers do the same thing the Warriors did last year and sign one of the top free agents? This will be a very interesting free agency period and we might see the Cavaliers become even stronger.
