Real Madrid will take on Juventus in the UEFA Champions League Final on June 3 after Isco scored a precious away goal for Los Blancos. Atletico Madrid won 2-1 in the second leg of the semi final but it wasn't enough for them as they lost 3-0 in the first leg.

Atletico Madrid were the underdogs going into this match as they needed to score at least three goals without conceding to have any chance of making the final. They did get off to the perfect start though as they scored two goals within the first 20 minutes of the game.

Saul Niguez scored the first goal as he jumped higher than anyone else to head the ball into the goal.

Four minutes later it was 2-0 as Antoine Griezmann scored a penalty after Raphael Varane fouled Fernando Torres in the box.

Just as Atletico Madrid were starting to look as if they were going to pull off a miracle, Karim Benzema pulled off some magic down the left hand side to get passed three Atletico players and then Isco a rebound shot from Toni Kroos to make it 2-1 in the game and 4-2 on aggregate.

A boring second half

After Isco scored the crucial goal for Real Madrid just before half time, the second half was nothing like the first as Atletico Madrid struggled to get back into the game and create any chances of scoring another goal.

Real Madrid knew they had done enough to make it to the final and kept the ball for most of the half as they had 64% possession.

Atletico Madrid tried to break down the Real Madrid defense but Real Madrid were set up well and didn't give Atletico any clear chances to score. Atletico Madrid were starting to get frustrated and it showed as they picked up four yellow cards in the game.

What now for the two teams?

Atletico Madrid have two games left in their season as they play Real Betis and Athletic Bilbao in the La Liga League.

One win will guarantee their spot in the Champions League next season so they will be looking to forget their Champions League exit and focus on the next game.

Real Madrid still have four games to play in their season and the possibility of winning two trophies. Real Madrid are currently second on the La Liga table but if they win their remaining three games in the league then they will become champions of Spain.

They also now have the Champions League final on June 3 as they will play Juventus in what will be a blockbuster final. Real will be looking to make history in being the first team to win two consecutive Champions League Finals and Juventus will be looking to win the Champions League for the first time in 21 years.
