The 2017 NBA Draft is just over a month away and it seems the top three picks continue to be locked down in most NBA mock draft speculation online. Washington Huskies star Markelle Fultz, UCLA standout Lonzo Ball, and Kansas small forward Josh Jackson are the top names on the list as of this report. Two trends are also sticking out, and that is half or more of the top 10 players selected could be point guards and that the top 10 will consist mostly of college freshman players. Here's the latest on the expected top 10 NBA Draft picks.

The top 10 picks

The Boston Celtics have the best shot at getting the top overall NBA pick thanks to having the Brooklyn Nets' pick this year from a trade several seasons ago. Next in line for a top three pick would the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers. Fultz, Ball, and Jackson currently sit atop the top three picks in most mock drafts. However, there has been a lot of talk that the Los Angeles Lakers want Lonzo Ball and that he wants to play in his home state. So if Los Angeles manages to snag that top pick, it could switch things up in terms of who goes first. Still, the Lakers opting for Fultz isn't such a bad idea either.

The fourth and fifth picks are expected to be Duke freshman Jayson Tatum and Kentucky freshman De'Aaron Fox.

Tatum averaged 16.8 points per game and 7.3 rebounds game for the Blue Devils in his previous season. Fox was instrumental in leading the Kentucky Wildcats deep into the NCAA Tournament and averaged 16.7 points, four rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game for his freshman campaign. These players could end up with the Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic in June.

Other players expected to land in the top 10 NBA draft picks this year will include Florida State forward Jonathan Isaac, Arizona power forward Lauri Markkanen, Kentucky shooting guard Malik Monk, and North Carolina State point guard Dennis Smith. Also, international point guard Frank Ntilikina of Strasbourg could find himself landing in the top 10, possibly with the Dallas Mavericks or Sacramento Kings.
