In fact, some loyal fans are so worried about the team that they've taken to their social media accounts to beg the team's big man, Tristan Thompson, to break up with his reality TV girlfriend, Khloe Kardashian before the playoffs start. Why? Well, there is a rumor that any athlete who dares date a Kardashian woman is cursed.
Cavs fans want Tristan to break up with Khloe
The Kardashian curse is a term that has been coined due to the coincidental occurrences of the Kardashian women's exes, who also happen to be athletes, having bad luck in their careers, or seasons, while dating or directly following a relationship with a member of the famous family. Tristan Thompson, who is currently dating the youngest Kardashian woman, Khloe Kardashian, has been playing well all season, but recently suffered a sprained thumb which forced him to sit out multiple games. This injury led to Tristan ending his NBA record streak of consecutive games played. Meanwhile, Thompson and the team's star player, LeBron James, recently got into a public argument while playing on the court together.
The two players shared some heated words during a recent game, and although they both brushed off the encounter later, many fans are worried about the mental state of the team heading into this weekend's playoffs.
Kardashian reveals she's ready to marry Thompson
While fans may want Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian to split up, it doesn't seem to be in the cards.
The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star recently revealed that she is completely in love with the Cavs star, and that she's ready to marry him whenever he decides to pop the question. Khloe and her famous sisters, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, were also spotted in Cleveland this week at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It looks like Khloe Kardahian and Tristan Thompson may be here to stay.
In fact, Khloe has expressed a love for the city of Cleveland, and if the Cavs can repeat their epic championship run from last season, then, and only then, fans may come around to the idea of Kardashian sitting in the stands and being a part of their very tight-knit and loyal fanbase.
