The Hornets vs. Pistons live stream and televised matchup arrives Thursday night and will feature 2017 NBA All-Star Kemba Walker against possible snub, Andre Drummond. Despite not participating in the game this Sunday, Drummond's Pistons currently own the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference. That's something that Walker's Charlotte team is trying to gain ground on despite a recent losing streak. The two teams meet in Detroit, but the odds will favor the home team for holding off the pesky Hornets.

Hornets' slump

Heading into this particular game, the Charlotte Hornets have lost four in a row.

They've also lost 11 of their last 12 games, leaving their fans wondering if they have plans to rebuild again at season's end via the draft and trades. Most recently, the team dropped a 90-85 game at Toronto, despite out-shooting the Raptors 42 percent to 38 percent. Walker finished with 24 points and nine assists, while Frank Kaminsky III had 27 to lead all players. At 24-32 the team is sitting around the No. 11 spot in the Eastern Conference, trailing Detroit by nearly three games. A win tonight would get them back on track towards gaining an Eastern Conference playoff spot again.

Pistons favored

Tonight's game will have the home team as the favorites. Detroit is currently a four-point favorite to win this matchup as the two teams return to the court after the All-Star break.

On the moneyline Detroit is at -175, compared to the underdog Hornets at +155. Tonight's over/under will be around 207 points for the complete game.

With the recent DeMarcus Cousins trade to the Pelicans, it has also raised speculation about Detroit's Andre Drummond. He's set to be a part of tonight's game unless any last minute deals go down.

Drummond averages 13.8 points per game and leads the team with 13.8 rebounds per game, trailing only Miami's Hassan Whiteside for the league lead.

If the NBA playoffs were to begin today, with the No. 8 spot, the Pistons would take on NBA Championship favorites, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Piling on more wins to move up the standings, probably would mean avoiding King James and the Cavs come the postseason.
