At the end of Thursday's episode of "The Young and the Restless" someone broke into the Jabot lab. The unknown assailant destroyed a few items and also stole some of Ashley's products. On Friday Graham was shown with the stolen goods but spoiler alerts suggest that Jack's son Kyle is the culprit. They give compelling reasons why he would turn on his father and aunt and suggest he was hired by Mr. Bloodworth on the orders of Victor. Celeb Dirty Laundry believes the recent mention of Kyle indicates that he is soon to return to genoa city. Victor and Graham hating the Abbot family is a given but would Kyle really turn on his father and aunt?
Kyle is an unlikely suspect
Celeb Dirty Laundry points out that Kyle voted against his father in the no-confidence vote and suggest that he may have issues with his father that will be revealed later. Spoilers mention that Jack was shocked that his son was not in his corner and when he tried to talk to him Kyle refused his calls. None of this, however, is a viable reason to believe that Kyle would suddenly decide to return to town and work with Victor and Graham to destroy his aunt Ashley's hard work.
Ashley was devastated on Friday to find her lab in total disarray. This is especially problematic because Jack only recently convinced her to focus once more on the laboratory and what she loves to do.
Whoever targeted Jabot had to know that Ms. Abbot was working in the lab once more. There is also the fact that when Kyle left town there were no major problems with his father. This is the reason he seems like an unlikely suspect.
Why Victor and Graham might target Jabot
Graham hates Jack and Ashley because they interfered with his plan to get his hands on Dina's money but Victor does not have a current grudge against the Abbots, and his focus as of late has been on rebuilding his marriage to Nikki.
There is also the fact that Reed moved to the ranch on Friday and will be a handful for the Newmans. Even so, Victor always has more than one iron in the fire and may sacrifice his friendship with Dina in order to punish her son.
Victor may also overlook his relationship with Ashley in order to stick it to her brother. This does not, however, explain why Kyle would want to come back to Genoa City to hurt his father and his aunt.
