Spoiler alerts have been suggesting that Adam Newman would return from the dead almost as soon as the character from "The Young and the Restless" died. Since October 2016 various rumors have been stated regarding the supposedly dead Newman. It was believed that Kevin would find Victor's second son and he would come back to genoa city and clear Chloe of his murder. It was reported in November that Chelsea would spot him in New Orleans and later said that he would be behind Christian's kidnapping. None of that panned out and now Soap Central offers a new theory: Nikki and Sharon will find Adam living among the homeless right under their noses.

The many false tales of Adam Newman

Soap Central suggests that Adam will return for February sweeps in a most disturbing way. Spoilers say that while Nikki and her former daughter-in-law are helping the homeless, they will happen upon the man who was the lover to one and stepson to the other. Sharon recently took in a homeless mother and her two children and her mother-in-law is in full agreement. The two women have bonded over their compassion for the less fortunate and now have a mission to save everyone they can.

Loyal "Y&R" viewers have been misled regarding Adam for 15 months and may not put much stock in this latest rumor. It was believed early on that he somehow survived the cabin explosion and would one day return to Chelsea and his sons.

When Christian recently went missing, spoilers suggested that Adam was behind the kidnapping and a DNA test would take place to prove the boy is not Nick's son. None of this took place so fans may be skeptical regarding new rumors. There have been so many false tales that when the truth is revealed no one will even consider it as fact.

Who will portray this new incantation of Adam?

Spoiler alerts have been saying that both Michael Muhney and Justin Hartley might reprise the role they left. They have also insinuated that a totally new Adam may emerge. Both men are currently working on other projects so an unknown recast seems like the most likely choice. Fans of "The Young and the Restless" realize that the truth about Christian's paternity will eventually have to come out, with or without his father returning to Genoa City.

This secret has been going on since Sage was killed in a car accident.

Loyal viewers will have to be patient and see if Nikki and Sharon's homeless project indeed includes finding Adam among those who are down on their luck. Stay tuned weekday afternoons at 12:30 PM on CBS to find out what happens in this ongoing saga surrounding the Newman family on "The Young and the Restless."
