Minnie Mouse, whose real name is Minerva Mouse, is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 22. Well-known singer Katy Perry and Disney CEO Bob Iger will be there for the presentation. Minnie is getting her star in celebration of her 90th Anniversary. This is forty years after her longtime friend Mickey Mouse received his star on his 50th Anniversary on November 13, 1978. Minnie's star will be the 2,627th to be awarded. It is very surprising that it took 90 years for this to happen, but everyone is glad that it is finally taking place to celebrate her.

Her star will be a memorial to her long after the ceremony is over.

About Minnie Mouse

The film legend deserves a star since she has appeared in more than 70 films. She made her first appearance in "Steamboat Willie" cartoon on November 18, 1928. Minnie is one of Disney's biggest and most recognizable cartoon characters. She is well known for wearing a large polka dotted bow in her hair and a matching red and white polka dotted dress. She wears oversized high heel yellow shoes with red bows. The shoes are too big for her feet, and sometimes her feet slip out of them. However, she is still one classic lady.
