Meghan Edmonds has just announced that she is quitting "The Real Housewives of orange county" after starring on the Bravo TV reality series in a full-time role for three seasons. According to a Radar Online report, the reality star and pregnant mom of one revealed the shocking news in a blog post to her fans and followers on Tuesday, January 23.

"I’ve decided to hang up my OC Housewife hat,” Meghan Edmonds told fans. The former reality star's announcement comes on the heels of her baby announcement at the end of last year, which revealed that she is pregnant with not one, but two baby boys.

Edmonds is currently married to Jim Edmonds and the couple already shares one daughter, one-year-old Aspen.

According to Meghan Edmonds, she's decided to walk away from "The Real Housewives of Orange County" and her co-stars, including Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, Kelly Dodd, and Peggy Sulahian, because filming the show has been known to take an emotional toll on her. She also said that filming on the reality series can be "grueling," which simply doesn't work for her new life as a mom.

Megan Edmonds is focused on family

During "The Real Housewives of Orange County" season 12, which was filmed after she welcomed her first child, Meghan Edmonds found herself in need of a live-in nanny who helped her manage the "mom stuff" she was unable to do due to her role on the show.

Now, as she prepares to welcome her twins, she knows that appearing on reality television is no longer going to work.

Speaking of her time filming the latest season of the Bravo TV reality show, Meghan Edmonds said she was hormonal and exhausted as she attempted to juggle her role on the show with her role at home as a mom and wife.

As she recalls, her mind was often foggy during filming but she continued to act the part because she was grateful for the opportunity the network had given her.

Meghan Edmonds is leaving Orange County altogether

In addition to quitting her role on "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Meghan Edmonds is also moving out of Southern California and relocating full-time to St.

Louis, Missouri. “I wanted to spend more time with my husband during baseball season and more time with my two young step kids,” she continued. In addition to daughter Aspen, Jim Edmonds is dad to four older children, including a young son and daughter, Landon and Sutton.

“I guess it’s time for me to become an actual real housewife of sorts,” Meghan Edmonds concluded.
