Josiah is courting Lauren Swanson
The speculation started that Josiah Duggar was courting Lauren Swanson after he took her to the family trip to Australia. Now, the couple has confirmed that they are courting.
Lauren is 18-years-old and also from a large family. She is the oldest of eight children. She has been a family friend of the Duggars for a long time and was actually on an episode of "19 Kids and Counting" a long time ago. She was pretty young at the time.
What did Josiah have to say about his new relationship?
Josiah shared about the courtship saying, "We are overjoyed to begin this new phase of our lives together. Through the years our families’ friendship has allowed us to get to know one another as friends. I can definitely say I have found a great friend … even better than I could have hoped for or imagined." After that, he went on to talk about her even more. He explained that she is Christian just like his family, which should make her a great fit.
Right now, Josiah Duggar seems really excited about where their relationship is going. She did go on a big family trip to Australia and it looks like they are doing well together. He was with Marjorie for four months before calling it quits. Josiah didn't share exactly how long he has been with Lauren before telling the fans about their relationship.
So far, fans are going to have to wait to get to know Lauren. In a quick video, she did introduce herself, but that is about it so far from her. Josiah said that he surprised her with the courtship question and that she admits she was really shocked. It was a girl's night out and he showed up, so she wasn't expecting it to happen at that time, but that was how it went down.
