"Teen Mom" star Catelynn Lowell is speaking out and being very open about her struggle with Postpartum depression. OK! Magazine is sharing what Catelynn had to say about it all. In a bonus clip from the show "Teen Mom OG" she is sharing that there is nothing wrong with reaching out for help when you are in a situation where you need it. She wants people to realize that she reached out for help and hopefully they should do the same in the future if they ever need it.

What did Catelynn reveal in this video?

Catelynn Lowell is saying that it is actually okay to admit that you are not okay.

She wants to be a role model for people. She said that she didn't even realize that she had it until it had been too long. She was close to a breakdown at the point that she reached out for help. Catelynn went in to talk to someone and said that she was going to Arizona to get help. This is a special place for mood and anxiety disorders. It seems to have worked for her and was the right thing to do.

Why did she decide to speak out?

Catelynn Lowell shared that she decided to speak out because it is important. She feels like a lot of other people have gone through this and she doesn't want them to feel ashamed. Now she has been home from treatment for over a year and still does suffer from panic attacks now and then, but they aren't near as bad as they used to be for her.

She feels like getting help changed her life and she wants people to do the same. She says to reach out to somebody if you need help with this issue.

It looks like this really worked for her. Now a year later, Catelynn Lowell is doing so much better. Hopefully, she will continue to share about what she went through and how getting help can be the right thing to do if you ever need it.

Maybe someone will get the help they need now that she has been so honest about it all. It is very helpful to hear someone that has such a big platform like her being honest about the struggles that she has been through. If speaking out saves just one person, then it was really worth it to her to make sure she told the world about her struggles.
