Congratulations are due for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West as their new child is born. Their Baby Girl was born today (Jan. 16). A report by CNN News confirmed the announcement and provided a lot of the information used in this article.

Due to medical difficulties endured during her first two pregnancies, Kim and Kanye chose to have their third child through a surrogate.The identity of the surrogate has been kept quiet, although reports do indicate that she has been well pampered during the pregnancy.

The announcement of the birth was made on their app today saying “Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl." The identity of the surrogate has been kept quiet.

7 lbs. 6 oz. Baby Girl

The little girl who was born at 12:57 AM PT on January 15 and weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs. 6 oz. The new baby comes two years after Baby Saint, and four years after Baby North. The name of the newest member of the Kardashian-West family has not yet been announced.

While Kim and Kanye have wanted more children, they were concerned about her previous medical issues and did not believe that they would be able to become pregnant. Also, during a recent season of their show, Kim did confess that she and Kanye would like to have a family of four children.

Controversy over the surrogacy continued when the baby shower in November did not include the actual surrogate.

The woman who carried Kim and Kanye’s child was introduced to their families earlier but was not invited to the elaborate shower. Pre-eclampsia and placenta accreta have both complicated previous pregnancies for Kim Kardashian West, driving the need for a surrogate.
