Most people around the world go insane for the English singer-songwriter.
With top hits ranking at Number One, both Internationally and Nationally, many people can't seem to ever get enough of Sheeran's voice and catchy lyrics. In a recent poll, Sheeran was officially named Spotify's most-streamed artist of 2017. The song that helped him obtain the title, was none other than his great hit 'Shape of You'. Shape of you not only did well in the UK, but managed to climb to the top of the charts on a global scale.
Ed Sheeran went on to thank Spotify for naming him the top of their 2017 list with 6.3 billion streams.

The English singer is definitely one to keep an eye on, as his music speaks to a wide variety and manages to keep his audience captivated. Not only is Sheeran a great musician, the young English artist has also added record producing and acting to his resume. Having appeared on the latest season of Game of Thrones, making a guest appearance, as one of the signing soldiers - it begs the question: "Is there the much that this talented artist can't do?"

Although being a great artist - Ed Sheeran was not the only artist to grace the Spotify list, as 2017 really was the year for the music scene to grow and produce amazing talent, be it, new artists, or artists we already know and love. Ed Sheeran beat both Drake and the Weeknd in obtaining the number one spot on Spotify's list.
In other categories, Rihanna was named most-streamed female artist, ahead of Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, while Coldplay managed to obtain the title of 'most-streamed band' - beating Imagine Dragons and Maroon 5.
