Amber Portwood said during the sixth season of "Teen Mom OG" that a baby wasn't in her future due to her borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder. However, after ditching her controversial ex-fiance, Matt Baier, earlier this year, the reality star and mom to Leah Shirley, age eight, decided to stop taking the medication she previously believed she would have to take for the rest of her life.

During an interview with Us Weekly magazine on November 8, Amber Portwood spoke of her decision to wean herself off the medication that could harm a fetus after suspecting many of her struggles were the result of what had been happening in her life during the time she was dating and planning to marry Matt Baier.

“I needed to see where I was in my head and it’s a beautiful thing because I just feel better," Portwood explained, adding that she's much happier now and not as depressed as she once was.

Amber Portwood said that she would not be welcoming a child with Matt Baier during an episode of the show earlier this year but after their relationship ended and her romance with Andrew Glennon began, the "Teen Mom OG" star embarked on her mental health experiment. “It was rough, but it was a necessary thing to do,” she explained.

"We’re both very happy,” Amber Portwood gushed of her leading man, who was working on the set of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition" as a lighting technician when they met over the summer.

As fans may know, Portwood was attempting to mend her strained relationship with Matt Baier while filming the WEtv series but ultimately fell in love with Andrew Glennon.

Amber Portwood's pregnancy has been plagued by intense morning sickness

Amber Portwood is two months pregnant with her second child and when she first learned she was expecting, she was a bit scared.

Since then, she has been facing morning sickness. Portwood has also become a bit concerned about welcoming another child because she isn't sure what she should expect. “Having a new baby is new likes, new wants, new needs, so it’s very nerve-racking,” she said.
