"Teen Mom OG" star Ryan Edwards is seen in a brand new sneak peek for the show's season premiere, and he's eager to be able to spend time with his son, Bentley. As many fans know, Ryan has made a lot of mistakes recently, and some of his poor choices lead him to be criticized by the media and fans, as well as seek professional help in rehab and even miss out on quality time with his son.

Drug testing to be a theme during 'TMOG' this season

As "Teen Mom OG" fans will remember, Ryan Edwards was seen driving under the influence in the season finale for the show's last season.

The scary and disturbing scenes were shocking to all who watched them, including Ryan's baby mama, Maci Bookout. Maci had spent much of the season trying to figure out how to help Bentley's father deal with his substance abuse issues, but after watching footage of him slurring his words and falling asleep at the wheel, Maci had enough. Bookout decided to put her foot down and tell Edwards that he would not be allowed to spend time with Bentley until he got help for his issues and pass a drug test.

Ryan wants to see Bentley

In the "Teen Mom OG" sneak peek, Ryan Edwards is seen telling his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, that he paid to have a hair follicle drug test done to prove to Maci that he was, in fact, clean and sober.

However, Ryan expresses concerns that the test may come back positive, revealing he doesn't know how long substances stay in a person's hair. So, why is Ryan so eager to take a drug test? To see his son, Bentley, of course. Ryan obviously misses spending time with his only child, and can't wait to have his son back with him again.

However, things seem to be very different when it comes to Bentley, Maci, Ryan, and even Ryan's parents.

Relationships are in jeopardy

During the "Teen Mom 2" reunion special, Maci Bookout took the stage with Chelsea Houska in order to share their experiences when it comes to dealing with a baby daddy who is battling addiction.

Many fans know that Chelsea's ex, Adam Lind, has tested positive for meth in the past, and the two women have bonded over their shared experiences. During the interview, Maci revealed that she hasn't had much contact with Ryan Edwards and that the relationship between herself and Ryan's parents, Jen and Larry Edwards, was nearly severed as well. However, Bookout is staying positive and revealed that she expects the blended family to move forward and eventually get back the good relationship they once had with one another after this trying time in their lives. Obviously, everyone wants what is best for Bentley, and they'll always be on his side going forward.
