"Outlander" Season 3 is getting more exciting following the reunion of Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). But aside from love story of the couple, they will be facing more challenges. The upcoming episodes will reveal that Claire and Jamie might not end up together because of Jamie's secret.
Claire's return to the 18th Century was just a few days ago but she has been through a lot already. Aside from being assaulted by a ruffian, it was hard for her to watch the burning print shop while Jamie went inside to rescue Young Ian (John Bell).
The latest episode features Jamie's print shop being eaten by flames. This happened when a candle toppled while Young Ian fought with Jamie's business partner. The two struggled to escape from the fire and good thing Jamie arrived to help Young Ian. After that, Jamie, Claire, and Young Ian went back to their hometown in Lallyborch.

But it appears that their homecoming didn't turn out well. Instead of being greeted with joy, Jamie's sister, Jenny (Laura Donnelly) and her husband weren't pleased. Jenny told Claire that she didn't expect to see her again since she had been away for twenty years. In response, Claire said that she loves her and she wants another chance. It is noted that Jenny didn't take it too lightly when Claire disappeared because of the war.
"Outlander" Season 3, Episode 8 titled "First Wife," will also show how Ian Jr's parents will react to his arrival. There will be an exchange of words between Young Ian and his parents. Young Ian is a fugitive and has been running wild for a long time but Jamie helped him.
Jamie's secret
Although Jenny appears hurt because of Claire's sudden disappearance, there might be another reason why she is not happy to see Claire and this could have something to do with the wife of Jamie.
Claire is not yet aware of this which will no doubt hurt her a lot.
A teaser for "Outlander" Season 3 Episode 8 shows Claire getting angry at Jamie. She asked Jamie why he couldn't tell her about it when he was able to tell her about his son. It is obvious that Claire is very much hurt with her new discovery.
With Jamie's secret unveiled, it appears that Claire is ready to give up on Jamie.
In the same preview video, the pair is seen talking while on a cliff. Jamie noticed that Claire cannot look him in the eye even if they are the only persons there. Claire said that she is no longer sure if they really belong to each other anymore.
Will the two separate ways despite all the sacrifices they made for each other? Or will they find a way to settle things? Watch "Outlander" Season 3 Episode 8 on Starz this Sunday, November 5.
