Just a friendly reminder that your favorite daytime drama series will not be airing new episodes on Thanksgiving Day. According to spoiler alerts, all three broadcast television networks will show other programs. Soaps She Knows reports that on CBS "The Bold and the Beautiful" will air an episode from November 23, 2016, while "The Young and the Restless" has not announced which prior show they will offer. At NBC, "Days of Our Lives" will be preempted for the annual dog show, and on ABC, " General Hospital" will repeat the September 27 episode where the truth regarding "Ask Man Landers" was revealed.

There will also be alternative programming on Friday so look for new episodes of your favorite shows on Monday.

CBS soaps will be sure to please

"The Young and the Restless" has remained mum regarding what they will offer viewers on Thanksgiving Day, but whatever they show it will be preempted on the West Coast because of the Macy's turkey day parade. "The Bold and the Beautiful" is going to repeat the Thanksgiving episode from 2016 when the Forresters, Logans, and Spencers all sat down and broke bread together.

"B&B" has a tradition of everyone coming together at the holiday table and saying something nice about the person seated to their right. Most times sworn enemies will let down their guard for the Thanksgiving meal, but once it is over everything is back to business as usual for the Forresters, Logans, and Spencers. Viewers enjoy watching those who usually do battle put down their weapons and give thanks.

Daytime dramas will not air on Friday either

On Friday CBS will preempt "B&B" and air a repeat of "Y&R" which again will not be shown on the West Coast, because of an unannounced sports event. ON NBC, "Days of Our Lives" will be replaced because of a hockey game, and at ABC, "General Hospital" will not be shown because of a national preemption, but again, nothing specific has been announced.

All of these daytime dramas will return on Monday, so stay tuned.
