In little more than a month, fans will finally see the return of “Vikings” Season 5. The historical drama series is said to be epic compared to its predecessors. In fact, in the television show’s new trailer, big battles are about to be seen and the rise of a new king.

A great war coming

Ragnar’s (Travis Fimmel) sons have faced a lot of battles. As the king is now dead, it is the best time to look for a new leader in “Vikings” Season 5.

Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) might be the best one to replace his father. However, Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) also reveals his interest in taking his place.

The new installment is said to start with another epic battle as Ragnar’s sons are planning to take revenge for their mother’s death, Auslag (Alyssa Sutherland). Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), on the other hand, has prepared herself for a fight that is about to come. Just like the previous seasons, fans can expect to see a lot of major deaths coming.

Aside from rivalries and battles, the television show is going to feature new territories, different people, and new cultures. This time, the Vikings are going to go wide across the continents. Although they will be expanding their territories, they will also have to take the consequences of what they are going to do. After all these fights, they are then set to face their tough enemy, Bishop Heahmund (Jonathan Rhys Meyers).

He vows to protect his land from the invaders, so a great war is about to come to fight for supremacy, IBTimes reported.

A battle for loss and death

Katheryn Winnick teased that the coming “Vikings” Season 5 is going to be epic. The 39-year-old star even changed her profile picture on Instagram with a snap of her character as Lagertha from the television show’s trailer.

Lagertha is going to be involved in a big fight against Ragnar’s sons. From the looks of it, the Reigning Queen of Denmark will be in a great danger on the battlefield. Is Lagertha going to die?

Katheryn Winnick addressed the rumors about the possible demise of her character. To add fuel to the fire, it has been announced that she is going to direct the History series’ sixth season.

Therefore, the assumptions grow stronger. The Canadian actress has a cult following that is now complaining about her role’s rumored death.

As there is a big threat of death and loss, the only thing that could save them now is to unite against their common enemies. However, it seems that Ivar is not a fan of this idea. Can he now avenge for his mother? Find out in the return of “Vikings” Season 5 on November 29 on History.
