Robert Pattinson has reportedly called his engagement with FKA Twigs off due to their busy schedules although they still love each other. The former couple was engaged for two years but suffered different controversies throughout their relationship including his alleged affairs with Katy Perry and Kristen Stewart. However, the couple has been really private about their relationship and tried their best to avoid the spotlight to protect each other. Unfortunately, the actor decided to pull the plug on them. Now, it seems that an insider shed more light to the former couple’s breakup that shocked a lot of fans.

No wedding plans

Recently, a source close to Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs told Hollywood Life that their busy careers are the main reason for their split. What’s more interesting is that the revelation that they never actually made plans for their wedding. “Early in their relationship they made each other a priority and would always make time for each other,” the insider said. “But as time went on, the distance between them widened creating a strain. Despite being engaged for most of their relationship, they never really made any wedding plans.”

The timing is at fault

As what the insider said, it’s the timing that caused their relationship to fall apart.

Both of them have been all over the world and failed to make time for each other since the last few months. The last time they were seen together was in May during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival in France, looking inseparable. In August, R-Pattz was spotted with Katy Perry at a hotel restaurant in West Hollywood having a dinner together.

A week after that, his ex-fiancée was photographed looking cozy with French model Brieuc Breitenstein during their Spanish sesh in Ibiza.

Will there be reconciliation?

The following events between them made fans believe that they have already separated ways although none of them has talked about it as of late.

During a July interview with Howard Stern, the “Twilight” alum raised some eyebrows when he said that he was “kind of engaged” to the English songstress. In a separate interview with GQ Magazine, the 31-year-old actor was asked about his wedding plans but can only say “Eh.” He has been really silent with his relationship and their fans have been waiting for them to divulge at least a few details about their wedding plans.

However, it seems that Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs never had any wedding plans at all despite being engaged for two years. Will they ever give themselves another shot? Or is it time for them including their fans to move on?
