One of the best things to come out of The CW's "Riverdale" is the real-life relationship of Bughead, or Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty, and Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead. On-screen, the pair is officially together in a "Romeo and Juliet"-esque love story, with Jughead coming from the other side of the tracks. Thankfully none of them have been killed yet, but their on-screen chemistry is also a testament of how Sprouse and Reinhart actually look good together and get along with each other in real life. Now rumors have long been swirling around the two, who have been spotted holding hands and acting a little more than friends to each other.

Back in July, E! News reported that the pair is, in fact, dating after some witnesses saw the PDA between them during the 2017 Comic-Con weekend. However, both Sprouse and Reinhart have not officially confirmed nor denied that they are truly together.

Lili Reinhart thinks kissing Cole Sprouse is 'easy'

In "Riverdale" season 2, viewers have seen Cole Sprouse's Jughead and Lili Reinhart's Betty make out a few times so early in the season, cementing the idea that the pair is going strong. Reinhart recently commented about her kissing scenes with Sprouse, telling Entertainment Tonight (via Just Jared Jr.) that "we’re all so comfortable with one another that it’s not even really a thing...It would be more nerve-wracking if you had to make out with someone that you didn’t know." This prompted fans to assume that Reinhart was referring to Sprouse as more than just her friend.

Cole Sprouse remains coy about the possible relationship

Teen Vogue reported that Cole Sprouse was recently on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" to promote "Riverdale" season 2, and when he was asked what's coming for Betty and Jughead, he said that there will be "a little bit more" of making out and kissing throughout the new season.

Sprouse even joked that the producers of The CW show are "contractually obliged" to write as many kissing scenes between him and his girlfriend, Lili Reinhart as they could. Of course, his comments must be taken with a grain of sand, given that both he and Reinhart have not confirmed the relationship just yet. For now, viewers can catch both of them play on-screen lovers in "Riverdale" season 2, which airs every Wednesday at 8 PM on The CW. The show is created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and produced by Greg Berlanti, Jon Goldwater, and Sarah Schechter.
