Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth recently celebrated her 20th birthday, but that's not all the young lady has to celebrate. The ninth Duggar child tied the knot with her husband, Austin Forsyth just a few months ago, and the pair have announced that they are expecting their first child in the new year. However, this isn't without controversy. Radar Online reported in December that Joy and Austin engaged in premarital sex, which started almost as soon as they made their courtship official. The pair haven't spoken out on the rumors, but the fact that Joy debuted a rather large baby bump during her pregnancy announcement sparked lots of speculation that the pair had conceived before their wedding day.

Other clues Joy was pregnant during her wedding

Joy-Anna and Austin announced that they would get married in October of 2017 when they announced their engagement. However, the pair rushed down the aisle on May 26 of 2017, pushing their wedding up by a full five months. As sex before marriage is forbidden by Joy's family, many suspected that the pair already knew they were expecting and decided to tie the knot before things got out of hand. Joy's wedding decor was also rather autumn-like, with wheat decorating the front of the church and burnt orange flowers. Joy was also incredibly stressed out by her wedding planning, as evidenced on "Counting On," her family's show, which could have been an indicator that she had to speed up the process by several months and was stressed beyond belief as a result.

Why Austin's social media post caused controversy

Austin Forsyth left a sweet birthday message for his wife on Instagram, underneath a photo of Joy that is almost completely blurred out by the sun.

"Happy birthday to the love of my life! Besides my salvation, you have been the best thing that has happened in my life!

"From being my spiritual encourager, working partner, hunting buddy, and everything in between you complete me in so many ways!

I am always amazed at how much integrity and character you display in our day to day lives! I love you with all my heart!" Austin wrote.

While this doesn't confirm anything about a shotgun wedding, fans and Duggar obsessives feel his silence speaks volumes. Because he declined to say anything about Joy's pregnancy, especially since her family is so obsessed with it, many think that this means the pair are hiding something, and that they are slightly ashamed of Joy's state.
