Khloé Kardashian’s desire to start a family is nothing new, and over the last few years, her feelings on the subject have been well-documented thanks to her appearances on her family's reality TV show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." First, she wanted to have children with her then-husband, Lamar Odom, but that didn’t work out, and that may be because the universe was telling her the timing wasn’t right.
Then in August of 2016, she met Tristan Thompson (after a few failed relationships, following her divorce from Odom), and her life changed forever.
The beginning of the rest of her life
Thompson and Kardashian seemed smitten right from the beginning of their romance and were spotted spending a lot of time together. However, their relationship hasn’t always been uncomplicated: after only a few months of dating, Thompson learned that he was going to have a child with his ex-girlfriend, Jordan Craig -- the little boy was born in December of 2016, and named Prince Oliver. But rather than run away from this drama, Kardashian stuck by Thompson’s side, and now, one year on, the pair are reportedly expecting their first child together.
Life is all about timing
This pregnancy couldn’t have come at a better time because I think that Kardashian is finally in the right place in her life to bring a baby into the world.
She’s in a happy, healthy, and loving relationship with Thompson, and all signs point to him being a really Great partner. During an interview with The Mail on Sunday’s YOU magazine, Kardashian gushed about her relationship, telling the publication, “I’m in the best relationship I’ve ever been in, and it doesn’t take a ring for me to feel that way” -- although she added that she would like to be married in the future, there is just no time frame.
But it’s more than just being with a great man, Kardashian is also at a time in her life where she’s learned to love herself, which is so important. Plus, she’s going to be a fantastic mom, and in the April issue of ES magazine, she previously spoke about her desire to become a parent -- long before we knew she was reportedly going to be.
“I definitely want to be a mom. But I don’t put the pressure on it. It’s not like, ‘The clock is ticking,’” she said. “I feel in my soul it will happen.” And it apparently has!
The couple's child will reportedly be the third new addition to the Kardashian-Jenner clan, because Khloé's sister Kylie Jenner is reportedly also pregnant, while Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are going to have their third child via surrogate.
