One of the "DWTS" dances Next Week will be trio dances. Typically, in the past, another professional dancer from the show danced with a current contestant and his or her professional dance partner. According to People magazine. they're changing it up this season by bringing in past contestants for the trio dances. These past contestants include former "DWTS" champions who are Olympic winning athletes and actors. These champions won mirrorball trophies over the show's 25 seasons.

Past contestants for the trio dances

Football player Rashad Jennings won last season on "Dancing with the Stars" in the spring.

He will be reunited in his trio dance with his partner Emma Slater and her current partner Drew Scott from "The Property Brothers" TV show. Actor Corbin Bleu was a runner-up in season 17. HIs past partner was Karina Smirnoff. This time, he will be with actor Jordan Fisher and his partner Lindsay Arnold. Olympic winning gymnast Laurie Hernandez, season 23 champion, will reunite with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy who is currently with Victoria Arlen, an ESPN personality and Olympic winning Paralympic swimmer. "America's Funniest Home Videos" host Alfonso Ribeiro, Season 19 champion, will reunite with his partner Witney Carson and Frankie Muniz, an actor who starred in the TV show "Malcolm in the Middle." Former Olympic winnng figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi, Season 6 champion, will reunite with her partner Mark Ballas and his current partner, violinist Lindsey Stirling.

"General Hospital" actress Kelly Monaco, Season 1 winner, will join in a trio dance with Cheryl Burke and her current partner, Terrell Owens, a retired football player.

Ribieiro, Monaco, and Bleu were on Monday's show to promote the upcoming trio dances. Host Tom Bergeron introduced them. Bergeron has been the host for the show's entire run and has won an Emmy for his hosting.

According to her biography on ABC.com, his cohost is Erin Andrews, a former contestant on the show in Season 10. She made it to the finals with partner Maksim Chmerkovkiy. DWTS Twitter welcomed the past contestants with this tweet,

Next week

It will be an exciting week on "Dancing With The Stars." Bleu and Fisher have been compared as they both have impressive dance backgrounds, and are fantastic dancers.

Stirling was injured this week, and we will see how she handles this challenge next week. This week's shocking Halloween double elimination gave everybody a scare. Next week shouldn't be as spooky. Whatever happens, new and longtime fans will be happy to see their past favorites and the wonderful trio dances they can deliver.
