Game of Thrones” has arguably become the most watched, loved, and pirated television series of all time. It successfully defined a generation of audience and catapulted its level to the ranks of other entertainment greats like “Harry Potter” and “Star Wars.” Thanks to its talented casting and creative team, it made a new world that stole the peoples' hearts.

However, the way some of “Game of Thrones” characters are portrayed in the TV screens bears uncanny diversions from its original literary source. In case you didn’t know yet, this popular TV series is based on George R.R.

Martin’s bestselling book series, “A Song Of Fire And Ice.”

Readers of Martin’s literary masterpiece are quick to notice how some characters exhibit dissimilarity from their book counterparts. The difference varies from slight to full on alteration of features. Thanks to Grunge, I have gathered 10 different illustrations of how the “Game Of Thrones” Cast should really look.

Brandon “Bran” Stark

Contrary to his brown eyes and hair, the youngest of the Stark children sports auburn tresses and bluish eyes which he got from the Tully’s, his mother’s side’s distinctive looks.

Daario Naharis

In the books, he’s described to have blue-dyed beard cut into three prongs the same color of his eyes. His mustaches are painted gold while sporting back locks reaching the color.

Yara Greyjoy

The showrunners opted to use Yara instead of Asha from the book text to avoid confusion from the wildling Osha. The book also describes her as lean and long-legged with hair black and short.

Her nose is also bigger and longer for her thin face.

Sandor “The Hound” Clegane

According to the book, The Hound’s scar is on the wrong side of his face where a cut ear will be found. There should be leather-like flesh on his face, and he must be much skinnier.

Euron Greyjoy

In Martin’s text, Euron should have jet black hair and beard.

He should be wearing a black leather patch over his left eye while sporting bluish lips he acquired from his favorite liquor, Shade of Evening.

Jorah Mormont

Contrary to Iain Glen’s portrayal, this character shouldn’t be handsome. His neck and shoulders are similar to a bull and his arms and chest should be covered with coarse thick black hair leaving none for his head. "Game of Thrones" crew also missed to put on a demon’s mask tattoo on his cheek.

Ramsey Bolton

Martin described him as an ugly man with big bones, sloped shoulders, and ghostly grey eyes. He should have a mangy mop hair, a broader nose, and more pinched lips.

Roose Bolton

The Lord of the Dreadfort should have long black locks, pale eyes similar to the color of mist, a strangely unlined face despite his age and much thinner lips.

Brienne of Tarth

Readers know that Lady Brienne is ugly and awkward, which fails to attract suitors. She has features she’s never proud of – swollen lips, freckled face, prominent crooked teeth and war-torn nose.

Theon Greyjoy

The Bastard of the Dreadfort treated him more harshly making him look 40 years older. He also left him with lesser number of fingers and teeth. At the time of his scape, he has white hair and lesser meat on his bones.
